I work as a User Experience and Interface Designer for almost 15 years. After a few years in San Francisco, I was invited to help develop the unique vision and experience of Nubank.
I started my career in advertising and communication agencies in Porto Alegre, while still studying Architecture and Urbanism. I really like the relationship between the architect's work and that of the designer, the way of thinking about all the variables, the business, the scenarios, the human impact, the creation of the artifacts for the experience to happen, these are very similar professions.
In 2004 I received a proposal to join the UX team at Globo.com, in Rio de Janeiro. They were beginning to build portals that would become the company's main products. Together with a team of high-level professionals, I had the chance to lead and consolidate projects such as the G1 portals and Globoesporte.com.
I ended up moving to São Paulo to work as a Lead Designer at Yahoo Brasil. I was part of the first innovation team outside the United States, developing Yahoo Meme, a light blogging platform. We ended up becoming a reference in processes, quality, and innovation. The recognition came soon after with an invitation to lead important projects at Yahoo's California headquarters. In San Francisco, I participated in the creation of the Yahoo Mobile Design team, winner of two Apple Design Awards, where I served as Design Lead for global projects focused on mobile platforms and innovative products such as Mail, Messenger, Intonow, among others. During this period, I had the opportunity to work directly with Marissa Mayer, Yahoo CEO, and world reference in technology, with a weekly product and design reviews.
